What is the difference between renewal age and application age?

  • Updated

Application age refers to the age of the person that we would accept his/ her first insurance application. Take VHIS as an example, we accept applications from customers aged from 15 days to 80 years old.

On the other hand, renewal age refers to the age of the person that we would accept his/ her policy renewal. Take VHIS standard plan as an example, policy will be renewed annually until age 100. When the insured reaches 100, the coverage period ends immediately. While for VHIS flexi plan, policy is guaranteed for lifetime renewal, meaning the coverage lasts for a lifetime.
