When discharged from the hospital, will the hospital require payment of other fees?

  • Updated

It depends on the services you received during your hospital stay. If the medical expenses you need to pay are higher than the amount we pre-approved, the hospital will charge you the difference between the actual medical expenses and the pre-approved amount at the time of discharge.

If these additional expenses are still within the scope of your coverage, you can apply to us again for reimbursement of eligible medical expenses for the difference.

However, if the final medical bill includes non-covered expenses or expenses that have exceeded the relevant coverage limits, the insured person will need to pay these expenses directly. Bowtie will not cover these expenses for the insured person.
