The 'Early Stage Critical Illness Multiple Coverage' feature provides coverage for carcinoma in situ, early-stage malignant tumors, and two types of angioplasty procedures. Each claim is subject to a 2-year waiting period and a payout of 20% of the sum assured.

Claim Requirements for 'Early Stage Critical Illness Multiple Coverage'
The insured person must meet the following conditions to be eligible for multiple payouts:

  • Carcinoma in situ
    Up to two payouts are allowed. To be eligible for a second payout after any paid carcinoma in situ claim, the specific organ affected by carcinoma in situ must be different from the organ involved in the first claim.
  • Early Stage Malignancy 
    Maximum of one payout allowed. Furthermore, pre-malignant lesions and conditions are excluded, unless stated in Bowtie's Definition of early stage critical illness
  • Angioplasty Procedures
    • Angioplasty and other Invasive Treatments for Coronary Artery
      • Up to two payouts are allowed. To be eligible for a second payout, the primary coronary artery stenosis treated must not have been more than 50% narrowed at the time of the medical examination related to the first claim.
    • Angioplasty or endarterectomy for carotid arteries
      • Maximum of one payout allowed.

Exclusions for 'Early Stage Critical Illness Multiple Coverage'

  • Any early-stage critical illness or early-stage critical illness surgical procedure for which an Early Stage Critical Illness Benefit has already been paid, except for carcinoma in situ and coronary angioplasty, atherectomy, or minimally invasive coronary artery bypass surgery;
  • Any critical illness for which a Critical Illness Benefit has been paid or is payable;
  • Any early-stage critical illness diagnosed or early-stage critical illness surgical procedure performed during the Early Stage Critical Illness Benefit waiting period.
